At dawn, Jackie Apostel and Cruz Beckham welcomed the first patients to the Apostel-Beckham Legacy Medical Center, a 250-bed hospital providing completely free, lifelong care for people experiencing homelessness.
The center offers specialized cancer treatment, trauma surgery, mental health services, and addiction recovery, giving patients a safe place to heal and rebuild their lives.
The $122 million project was privately funded and kept low-profile for months. The doors opened only when everything was ready to genuinely serve those in need, away from the flashing lights of the Met Gala.
