Victoria Beckham Shares Rare Comments on Raising Her Children into Adulthood with Husband David
Victoria Beckham knows all too well that being a mom to nearly all grown-up children can spice up your life.
The former pop star, 51, spoke to WSJ. Magazine about how her outlook on parenting her four children has changed over time as they’ve become their own people.
“Being a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it’s very different from having little children,” she said in the interview published on April 16. “I think that we’re trying to do the best we can.” And by we, she means she and her husband, David Beckham, with whom she shares sons Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, and daughter Harper, 14.
Speaking with the outlet, the fashion designer praised her two youngest, calling out Cruz for starting his music career and going on tour with a “grassroots approach” and calling Harper “very sweet, very kind…and also very appropriate.”
Victoria also made rare comments on the ongoing rift between their family and Brooklyn, in addition to his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, whom he married in April 2024, but didn’t refer to Brooklyn by name.
“I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” she began. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
