David Beckham opened up about his long-term marriage to Victoria Beckham, previously admitting it is “hard work”. The couple tied the knot in 1999 and went on to welcome four children, Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and 14-year-old Harper. However, the pair have become estranged from their eldest son, who recently made several bombshell accusations against his famous parents and revealed he has no intention of reconciling with them.
In a previous interview, David made an honest admission about their marriage and how they worked hard to bring up their children in the correct way. He told Australian TV show The Sunday Project: “To be married for the amount of time that we have, it’s always hard work, everybody knows that but you make it work. You make difficult situations like travelling away, being away from each other, you make it work.”
He added: “Your children, they want your time and they deserve your time and we are hard working and we feel that is the right way to bring up our children to prove and to show to them you have to work really hard to be successful.”
Victoria, 51, is said to have been left “devastated” by the accusations made by Brooklyn in his bombshell statement. These included claims that she hijacked his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz, at their 2022 wedding, danced inappropriately on him and pulled out of making the 31-year-old’s wedding dress at the last minute.
In another bombshell allegation, Brooklyn claimed his parents attempted to “bribe” him into signing away the rights to his name and tried to ruin his relationship with Nicola even before they got married.
